Question JCPenny CB radio

it says its made by jcpenny but what company did they hire to make it, does any one know

I'm guessing uniden for sears,penneys radios.

I sent an E-mail to this CB guru in Texas about JC Penny CB's,Hopefully the Guy will reply.

I still have a bunch of sams photofact books I looked in but didn't see any penneys radios.

I can remember back in the day when those JC Penny radios were sought after by many cbers. I don't know who built them but they were well made.

You could always tie a rock around them and send them with the rest of your CB stuff next to Davy Jones locker N9ZSSA !

What model? Pinto? JCP had a number of radio going way back into the mid 70s

I still have a couple that I can't * cough,cough* part with! My favorite is my Regency "Romper" Ya gotta love that chrome case on it! Any way,back to the JCP radios. I remember that alot of them were pretty simple to mod,not that I would've done that,lol!

I have had one or two of those cb back in the 70"s,another good one was the sears roadtalker that was around about the same time

Seems like every department store chain sold CBs...would be funny to see one from Macy's.

i had a jcpenney ssb cb back in the day

had a great pll in it that radio went everywhere below ch1 wayy above ch40 and put out good power

i wish i had never parted with it was a fun old toy

I remember buying a Royce SSB unit from Penny's back in the day

Many, many scanners since 1974 when 37.180 and 42.900 were the "Main" frequencies in Texas and I got my 'first' scanner: RS Pro 77A an 8 channel vhf lo-hi xtal unit.
