Old FCC CB License?
Hello All:
Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but here goes. I had a CB license from the FCC back in the early 70's when they were required. I'd love to get a copy of that for nostalgia purposes, but can't find those anywhere on-line (including the FCC site).
Anybody know of a way to get a copy of these?
Thanks!

:-) I saw that during my search. Funny thing is I think 1974 is the year I sent my $20 into the FCC for my CB license!
P.S. I e-mailed the FCC about my request. Not sure if I'll get a reply.

Since the FCC is unable to provide older Ham licenses, it's unlikely they could provide old CB licenses. If it's not in their database, they don't have the info.
That is, if a ham wants an older license's info, it's gone. When you update your license, the FCC does not retain archives of 'old' info, only 'current' info. And once a license is expired for sufficient time, it's purged.

Ahhhh the 70's how time flies. 20 bucks for a licence and gas for 30 - 40 cents per gal.

If you can find anyone who has an old CB license, get them to take a digital photo of it and email it to you. You should be able to get someone to photoshop your dad's callsign into it and get a printout. That is the only way I could think of doing it.
