Default Northwest Central Dispatch's Astro system: Missing Traffic from talkgroups

I monitor Northwest Central Dispatch's Astro system. I have been having a problem because I only monitor the talkgroup "FD 1". When a town on this talkgroup responds on a call with a neighboring town that is on the talkgroup "FD 2", they both get toned out together on either FD 1 or FD 2, not both. So if the call happens to go out on FD 2 I miss the whole thing since I don't monitor that talkgroup. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this problem so I can hear the call when they are toned out together without having to monitor the other talkgroup all the time. I would appreciate it if anyone has any possible solutions. Thank you.

MODERATOR NOTE:
PLEASE Appropriately name the name of the thread to the system you are referring to.

Unless your radio has been flash updated for rebanding you will be missing some traffic on NWCD's system. The CARMA List has had an extensive discussion over this very issue.

While you didn't mention the type of radio you have ISTR that you said before that you have a 796 or a 296, if so, get the update from the Uniden site and follow the instructions that came with it to handle rebanded systems like NWCD. They are handled differently than other Moto systems.

I have a Uniden BC796d. I do have the firmware update downloaded to my scanner and that part is working fine. However, this was an issue I was having even before they rebanded. I appreciate the feedback. If you guys have any more ideas as to what the problem may be I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Then the issue might be with System Patches. Change your Status Bit settings and see if that works.

Ok, thanks. What exactly do you change in the status bit settings. The only thing I found in my scanner under status bit was to turn it on or off. I currently have it on.

Default NWCD on PRO96

Are you hearing the 853mgz freqys when it trunks NWCD....I came up to my daughters house in So.Elgin with my PRO96, i had NWCD programmed in two different banks, one with rebanding thru my Win96 and one just with the freqys changed and "NO" rebanding tables, the one with "NO" rebanding would "SKIP" the 853mgz freqy activity when it came up and show me a "WRONG" freqy.....Ron in Joliet
