Im told the rebanding in Joliet will be in force tomorrow April1, not sure if it will involve just changing the freqys or using the "custom" multitable feature....Time will tell....Ron in Joliet

Eric, due to some radio ID's being programmed wrong they have NOT rebanded to the new freqys as yet.....You must still use the old freqys still.....Ron

Yep. It's on the legacy CC's and voice channels today, and working fine.

I've programmed my 996 scanner to the newest firmware v3.02.00 yesterday, went fine, just a klutzy process. I'd been holding off changing from v.3.00.00 as I had it working really well, but to do the reband band plans, you have to have the new firmware.

Set up a new system for Joliet with all of the legacy and rebanded channels in a single site, and set up the Band Plan 1 and Band Plan 2 per the instructions. It doesn't seem to be a problem to have that bandplan in even though Joliet seems to have not rebanded. I'm just following your history of just adding the new CC's from the last reband (stateville wasn't it? I don't monitor stateville, maybe I should?) In theory, when they do reband, I'll probably not notice now...we'll see.

I'm going to wait to do the Pro162 for now. It was that scanner that I noticed the JPS all screwy the other day.

I can program either Uniden or GRE by hand , even in the dark but your a better man than i am when it comes to doing the software firmware shuffle!!!....I had a ham friend "reband " my Uniden246 and i see the new entry for PL1 and PL2...I have thru Win96 rebanded my PRO96, 2096, i have as you have made a new rebanded "system" for Joliet on my GRE500 and RS197 but have not tried them as the CC remains on the old freqys yet....I sold my 396T because i have no knowledge on going to the Uniden site and going thru that MESS....Im thinking very seriously on the purchase of the 396XT....I have one more problem, i have a Uniden 898 which needs rebanding, i printed the Upman Wiki Instructions but as mentioned not the brains or cable to do it??....Its strange as you said the "prison" did not re-label there rebanded freqys as the system works fine....Will Co still has not rebanded.....Ron in Joliet

Joliet is going to be the standard 15mhz offest, nothing fancy. The radios are being programmed so that the rebanding cutover is seamless. A date has not been set for cutover yet. Just FYI
