Was able to get some video of two radio techs testing the new digital radio system today:

Default This is legit now...LOL
Air Sea Rescue companies were testing on City-Wide Fire (476.6875). Testing their off-shore range. This includes the helicopters, Fireboats and other specialized companies. Video testing being conducted also.

Default Subway & Background Noise Testing
Utilizing Fire-North (477.7875) throughout the morning. State & Grand subway testing...now checking with different backgound noises.

Testing is being conducted by Chicago's Research & Planning Division. Latest target date is late August, once major festivals are over with for CFD. EMS will be first to switch...looking for dead spots. Channels 15 & 16 on portables will be Analog EMS-North & South.
