I'm sitting here listening to CPD Zone 6 (Carlos is dispatching this afternoon), and an officer called in saying that residents (not sure which neighborhood) were complaining about parking permit violations. Carlos replied that the permit numbers were now at the bottom of the city sticker, so "for all of you listening out there by scanner, please take note."

It was good for a chuckle

They say the funniest stuff sometimes. I love listening to them, not to mention the non-stop action on all the zones.

Thats is kinda funny, went for dispatchers interview and was asked if I was listening to them put out a chase call in a few suburbs around me. Was tring to recongize the op by the voice traffic, found out who it was in a metter of a couple minutes. Good times

Non stop action is the understatement...LOL. 25th District, Zone 12 just had 2 shot at North & Leclaire. Offender flash given out, off duty police officer and 6715D saw offender at Murrays Discount Auto around the corner. Offender and weapon in custody...offender is wheelchair bound, so awaiting a special transport vehicle to take him to Area 5....great work we often don't hear about.

Not long ago, I heard a female Zone 3 dispatcher send out a job on the zone about a disturbance...she told the responding officers "Just for Officer Safety, the complaintant is listening to me on a scanner, I heard it in the background". That was really offensive, but then maybe this guy is a pain in their arse or something, I don't have enough details to really say.

It was cool of Carlos to give us a mention though!

We have a guy up here who uses a wheelchair as a distraction. He likes to throw things through car windows and then takes what he wants. I've personally seen him get up out of the chair and take a stroll without any difficulty. Anyone out here familiar with wheelchair Tony?
