460.500 (CTCSS 167.9) Chasing a man with a gun on the L Tracks at 55th Prarie...report of a person shot. Very dramatic radio traffic as they're screaming to shut the power off, chase traffic. 1 in custody so far...tune in for action!

There was a hazmat incident on Monday, August 17 near Western & Addison (by Lane Tech HS)...District 19 I think. Anyone catch this? CFD 5-1-0 & Battalion 5 responded.

Trench Rescue In Progress
4400 N. Dover...Uptown area: CFD Main Fire, North EMS, Illinois Masonic Med 7 active now. Private sewer contractor, trapped up to his waist. CFD Special Operations enroute to shore up the hole prior to attempting removal. Beside the normal pin-in response, Lumber Truck, Trench Rescue Unit are also enroute.

Zone 6, EMERGENCY....foot chase leads to one offender shot twice, once in the face and once in a hand. Action on 460.400

Off-duty Cook County Sheriff shot in the 82nd Knox area..apparent robbery attempt. Was in full uniform. PH-1, Canine Officers, quite a few others on the scene.

As of 2230 Hrs., both offenders in custody...nice work here by all involved. Just to think, no "supervisor requests" for people who felt offended because officers were searching yards, houses, garages based upon information they were getting. Still a good neighborhood despite the riff-raff going on.
