On 09-07-09 at approximately 11:24 AM the Colorado State Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash on westbound Colorado 76 milepost 32 in Weld County.
A white 1995 Chevrolet van was traveling westbound on Interstate-76 near milepost 32 in the left lane when the Chevy experienced a sudden failure of the right rear tire. The Chevy then went off the left side of the roadway, struck a delineator post, then rotated clockwise before rolling 1 1/2 times. There were four occupants in the vehicle. Two of the occupants, both teenage males, were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle.
The restrained female driver of the Chevy has been identified as Isabel Estrada, 51 of Commerce City. Estrada sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the Northern Colorado Medical Center.
A restrained male passenger in the Chevy has been identified as Querubin Castaneda-Sanchez, 50 of Commerce City. Castaneda-Sanchez sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An unrestrained male passenger in the Chevy has been identified as Giovanni Castaneda, 15 of Commerce City. Giovanni sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at Denver Health Medical Center.
An unrestrained male passenger in the Chevy has been identified as Jonathon Castaneda, 12 of Commerce City. Jonathon sustained serious injuries and was transported to Children's Hospital.
Alcohol/drugs are not suspected as contributing factors in this crash. Sudden failure of the right rear tire is suspected as a contributing factor.
Next of kin HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.
