Arap County Fatal

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Date: 09-17-09 Time: 4:00 p.m.
On September 17, 2009 at approximately 3:21 a.m., Colorado State Troopers responded to a fatal crash on Arapahoe County Road 30 just east of Arapahoe County Road 137. A green 2002 Kia Rio was eastbound on the westbound side of Arapahoe County Road 30, lost control and went off roadway. The Kia rolled one time through a barbed wire fence. While the Kia was rolling, the driver was ejected out the driver side window.
The unrestrained driver has been identified as Nestor Silva, age 20 from Byers, Colo. Silva sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Arapahoe County Coroner.
Alcohol or drugs are suspected as contributing factors.
Next of kin have been notified.
