Exclamation Larimer County: Wildland Fire w/ evac

From Larimer County Sheriff's Office

News Release
Fire west of Bonner Peak Subdivision

Release Date: Sep 30, 2009

At 2:38 P.M. today residents of the Bonner Peak Subdivision called the Larimer County Sheriff's Office reporting a large amount of smoke visable to the west of the subdivision.

Larimer County Sheriff's Deputies were the first to arrive in the area and began evacuating residents in the direct path of the fire. At this time seven agencies are on scene. The fire is moving east fueled by the wind and dry grasses.

An emergency telephone notification for evacuation was sent to residents located in the area south of Pinion Ridge, north of Obenchain, east of Bonner Peak and west of Hwy. 287.

The size of the fire has not been determined at this time. Further updates will be following.
