Hunter, 60, found OK after night outside
Posted @ 4:01 pm

A 60-year-old hunter who was reported missing Saturday was found by searchers this morning, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.

The man did have injuries after spending the night outside.

The man was hunting with others in his party in the area of Hightower Mountain when he failed to return to the group Saturday night.

He was wearing clothing appropriate for the weather, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Twenty-eight volunteers from Mesa County Sheriff’s Department ground crew and officers with the Division of Wildlife assisted in the search.

Welcome to GJSentinel!
