All this was happening as I was driving so this account is from memory. From DTRS:
Shortly after 3pm Sunday, Foothills Fire with mutual aid from several surrounding agencies responded to a man in a tree behind the Idledale Post Office in contact with a power line and "foaming at the mouth."
Xcel was called and a nearby church parking lot was designated as an LZ for a medical helicopter. I believe it was Air Life who went on airborne standby for the incident.
Miraculously, about 20 minutes after the call and before all the responding apparatus arrived, the man was somehow brought to the ground, reported as "ambulatory," and was transported via ground ambulance to Swedish.
I'm "shocked" that he was seemingly able to walk away from his ordeal!
