CBS4 News BREAKING NEWS: The FAA confirms that approximately 30 people were injured on a United Airlines flight from Washington-Dulles to Los Angeles when it hit severe turbulence over Kansas-controlled air space. The flight was diverted to Denver International Airport to treat the injured people. There is no word on the severity or extent of injuries at this time. We are responding to the airport with several people.

Looking at Jeppesen charts during that time, the turbulence looked pretty bad over Kansas. I mean from moderate to severe!

It's why you always keep your set belt on whenever possible. (Need one for the latrine though Especially with Airbus.)
