Sounds like Boulder Canyon might be closed. I've heard of several accidents and even the snow plow driver has complained that it's solid ice and that he can't control his plow.

Update in Boulder Canyon:

RTD bus is stuck in the canyon.

CSP is stuck and doesn't have chains. Unable to use DTRS to contact dispatch.

Canyon is closed at Sugarloaf at the lower end, and Hurricane Hill at the upper end.

Add: US-40 Berthoud Pass and US-285 Kenosha Pass to the closure list blizzard conds.

US-40 Kremmling to Steamboat also.

From the front lines:
Typing from Copper Mountain. They closed Vail pass behind me. They closed Silverthorne in front of me. A jacknifed semi closed Fremont Pass. They NEVER close Fremont Pass.

Looks like 4th Rifle in GMU 18 will have to wait until at least Thursday...:wink:

U/D: WB I-70 now open Idaho Springs to Vail and gradually reopening of EB lanes will be occuring soon also.
