As a former dispatcher, and having heard the best and worst, the communications between LE, FD/EMS was seemless. Sad that it takes an incident of this magnitude to show it, but this dispatcher kept her cool through the entire thing. Hats off to her.

Does anyone by chance have a list of agencies that responded, and that are still helping Aurora? I know I heard most of the metro area this morning.

Bomb Squads have cleared for the night. Will return in the morning. 4 of the Evacuated buildings will allow residents in for a few minutes to retrieve items.
I have never heard of an incident where an active device has been just left. This must be a very serious and complex situation. I would bet that Navy EOD, and other DoD assets are being at least sent the photos for analysis to help.

The USAF probably has a EOD team around somewhere there in Colorado. They might just make the decision to burn down the place in lieu of risking de-arming what is setup. I recall officials making that determination for something like this that happened in the San Diego? CA area a few years back.

Military EOD is already on scene and has been all day from very nearby Buckley AFB.

Live Breaking News Video | Streaming Video Coverage | Fox News
Fox has a helo over the scene at the suspects apt. APD Sgt said at a press conference this morning that they may have to detonate the liquid components of the booby trap inside the apt, I count 5 Engines on scene as well as what looks like decon and hazmat obviously as a precaution since the liquid is still unknown.

Sounds like they are taking a 40 min break and then what ever is going to happen will happen. Looks like the copter may be heading for fuel.
