The funeral service and subsequent motorcade procession for fallen Lakewood Police Agent James Davies will be on Thursday, November 15, with the funeral starting at 10am at First Church of the Nazarene, 3800 East Hampden Avenue, Cherry Hills Village.

Following the service, the motorcade will proceed west on Hampden Avenue to Wadsworth, then north on Wadsworth to the Lakewood area, then west to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

From approximately 11:30am-1:30pm on Thursday, November 15, Hampden Avenue (Highway 285) will be closed between Colorado Blvd and Wadsworth Blvd to all traffic and pedestrians while the procession passes. Police Officers will be conducting traffic control at all intersections along the route, and no vehicles or pedestrians will be permitted to cross Hampden Avenue during this time. Alternate north/south routes are Broadway, Santa Fe, and Federal Blvd.

Please expect traffic delays and plan your travel accordingly during this time. Thank you for your understanding.

Sgt Christian Contos
Englewood Police

My understanding is that Jefferson County SO will provide coverage in Lakewood during the funeral. Look for communications on the NetworkFirst blue talk groups.

CSP will cover MVC's in Lakewood from 0600 to 1800. They expect to cover about 10 crashes during that period of time.
