Double shooting in Colorado Springs

Happened at 222 Basset Dr around noon today. CSPD Sand Creek units were called by utilities who found people on floor and several witnesses ID'd the suspect who they just found near the Timbers Apartments. One officer advises two DOA.

Colorado Springs police say the two people found dead in a home on Bassett Drive today were shot to death when they came home and interrupted a burglary in progress. The suspect fled, but police say they're questioning a person of interest in the case

They caught the murder suspect tonight in an apartment with his friends who also all had warrants.

CSPD units were pretty hush (encrypted) on most of the SWAT/TEU comms, but I heard TEMS or Tactical EMS (which is pretty rare) on CSFD-10 (TG-4629). I've confirmed this TG is only used as the CSFD TEMS talk group and sometimes AMR gets on the TG with them and stages nearby. Other dates I've heard TEMS identify themselves on this TG just this year were 1/3, 1/7, 1/9, and 1/10.

In Colorado Springs one engine company is designated as a TEMS company, and all assigned there through CONTOMS. They respond with the police and sheriff's office when requested in a big white van set up as a rudimentary ambulance and equipment hauler.
