Question CSP on MAC NE groups??

Curious why Denver CSP dispatch is using all the MAC talkgroups? Sounds like it's all routine CSP traffic. They are using MAC 5,6,7,and 8. No related patches I can see.
Dont see anything on their normal talkgroups.

I've been listening for an hour now. Sounds to me like a saturation patrol effort for Larimer and Weld Counties. There are a LOT of units out!

(Don't know why they aren't on normal dispatch TGs)

Just a thought if it's true sateration maybe it's multi agencies involved that would warrant MAC channels of course.

I haven't heard any other agencies but counted nearly 30 CSP callsigns for Weld and Larimer. They seem to have used the MAC channels to "subdivide" the areas so dispatchers can handle a reasonable number of units.

Some clever individual decided to try to elude & run. VERY bad day to do that :-)

Yea, I've been wondering why all the CSP on MAC channels too. I wonder how the have jurisdiction split up.

This AM at about 540 there was what appeared to be a SWAT operation by Larimer County that they were setting up to take place at 0600. I am not sure what all went down, as I had just pulled into work at that time. But they were using a MAC which surprised me. It seemed to be all Larimer Units from what I could gather. I will check the local news boards to see if anybody knows what went down.
I know that from time to time CSP will patch the troop TGs together for a few min when one needs to take a break or during slow times when they dont need as many dispatchers, but not on a MAC. one console (3C for example will patch with 3A console for a while). I am wondering who some of the units I heard were this am. I heard one that had an 8 for the prefix, then said he would be working larimer, weld and another county. Strange traffic this am!

Good point, Larimer County had CSP traffic stops everywhere! I heard 6A and 1A, in addition to 3C traffic. Around 1500, several of the troopers indicated that they were changing channels back to their home channels, 6A & 1A. I personaly saw them on US287 near Loveland - using two cars for radar enforcement and heard stops being made in the Ft Collins area. My guess is that with probably twice as many cars working in the area, that it freed up the 3C channels .
