Default help with which towers to use

Hello,
I need some help new to colorado. I am using the ARC96 software to program my scanner. I am looking to download the pd from State pd to castle rock pd. I see the talk groups but under the sites there must be about 80 sites to chose from. can someone narrow the sites down for me to use with the talk groups. The sites would be i think the control channel for the talk groups.Looking only for state pd and castle rock pd unless you think of some other good areas to add. please email me at t_billman@hotmail with this info. Thanks Tom

If you plan to travel by interstate look at this:
Colorado DTRS Interstate Travel Reference - The RadioReference Wiki

The description of the Co system here-
State of Colorado DTRS Trunking System, Statewide, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies
Contains maps of State Patrol Districts and a map showing where towers are located.
From those two pieces of info you can figure out which towers and talkgroups to program.

Castle Rock PD is on the same Colorado system so once you get the appropriate towers figured out you'll be set.

(Sorry it's not as simple as "State PD")

Tom already explained on email you'll only need about 3 or 4 towers for the castle rock area and there are some good metro area win 96 files here as well.

For the Castle Rock area, the Silver Heights site would be the main one to listen to... Maybe also West Creek and possibly even Riley Peak.
