Default Mesa County Channel Question

Just had a quick question.

Recently there was an inicident in which a med-evac helicopter (St. Mary's Careflight) was called to go directly to a scene.

The frequency for communication between the heli and the group contact was referred to as "NLAC" ... which I assume is some sort of mutual aid frequency, but I am unable to find anything similar in the database.

I think I head him correctly, but I could be wrong. Anyone know what channel/frequency this is?

Thanks!

National Law or NLEC is used often on the western slope for LZ's.

155.475

Just curious. I always thought it was NLEEC.

Any old timers out there that would agree that NLEEC is correct?
National Law Enforcement Emergency Channel.

Motorola is to blame for shortening the name in Colorado. In the early eighties they started labeling their new consoles "NLEC". People who never read the Colorado plan for 155.475 thought that was the correct name.
