Question Grand County/Jackson County

Are these 2 County's On DTRS or still on VHF? I could not find a CC for Jackson County and the ones I found for Grand County only had the MAC channel and 3 or 4 EMS channels.

Mostly VHF still for public safety but there are a number of good coverage DTRS sites especially in Grand mainly for CSP.

I'd recommend the 203 Buffalo Pass and 237 Walton Peak sites for Jackson County.

Last I heard, the Jackson County SO was still on 155.43 simplex with a 156.7 tone. I think there's also a "Public Safety Repeater" on 150.79 with a 91.5 tone.

Grand County is still on VHF, except for Grand County EMS, which uses DTRS for car-to-car traffic quite a bit. The sites to use for Grand County are 111 Mines, 230 Grouse, 264 Table Mtn, and 256 Blue Ridge.

CSP, DOW, and other state agencies are on DTRS for the most part in both Jackson and Grand counties.

Jackson Co SO has been on DTR for at least 3 years and usually affiliate with Buffalo. As mentioned earlier they sometimes affiliate with Walton. They could affiliate with Farwell, but it may not be allowed D/T the power issues at Farwell. I'll have to look in my notes for one other site I've seen them affiliated with.

I don't have my notes with me, but I believe that would be Bull Mountain. They could also affiliate with Grouse, but I don't remember ever seeing it.
