Anyone know who 155.4975 belongs to in the western slope area?
I picked up (very clear signal) obvious law enforcement on this channel. I went up to the next freq in my scanner (155.505) and heard nothing, same thing with going down to 155.49.

The FCC database shows that Mesa county has 155.49, but doesn't show anything for 155.4975

Also picked up 155.385 along the front range. Sounded like a FD, and they mentioned "Estes Fire" a couple of times. The FCC says "Poudre Valley Hospital", even though it sounded more like a fire department.

Here is Fort Collins, 155.385 is used for paging out the PVH ambulances. It could be used in other parts of Larimer County for other services.

My frequency book doesn't even show that 155.4975 is a valid frequency step in the VHF range. It does show 155.490 then 155.505 but nothing in between. 155.490 is listed as Mesa County Sheriff Dispatch. 155.505 was at one time listed to the State of Colorado but now it's no longer in the database.

In the front range, 155.385 is listed as Louisville Fire Protection District - Fireground.

Delta County

I was in Delta county when I picked up transmissions on 155.4975.
It is the only frequency in my scanner between 155.49 and 155.505.

Could it have been a birdie frequency? I know there is a way to figure it out, but I don't know the "formula"

Thanks for your help so far

I doubt that it was a birdie ( 2 or 3 times your IF freq? ). VHF can really have a long range. Heck, maybe it was a Utah agency.

Is it possible you were hearing 151.385? Reason being is Boulder County is testing P25 digital on Thorodin with the repeater input of 159.405 which repeats the Estes Fire radio traffic in analog.

And for those think that freq pair sounds familiar it was an old Douglas S.O. channel.

Phil.
