Is there any rhyme or reason to the channels that are used nights and weekends by CSP? I track troop 6C, but evenings they are being dispatched on other troop 6 channels, and I'm wondering if they're even patched to troops 1 and 3. Any insights would be appreciated. Troop, can you help here?

Thanks, Erik

Usually there are less dispatchers working graveyards 2230-0630, so some of the channels get patched together. sometimes 3A will be with 3C, sometimes 6C with 3A, it just depends how many dispatchers are working that night, and then when one takes a break they can acutally be handling all three districts at once. hope that helps...

I figured that was the case, I just hoped there was some method to the madness. I guess the answer is to unlock all three districts in the evenings.

Thanks!

The common patches I see most evenings include:

2301 to 2459
3004 to 3007 Arap County SO
3005 to 3007
3003 to 3007
2381 to 2385

You can also track these patches real time using pro96com.

Thanks, Jim.

The TGID I'm trying to follow is 2389 (6C Dispatch).

CSP 6C is usually paired with CSP 1D dispatch 2305 90% of the time.

Overnight patches have included 2459 1A, 2451 3A, 2477 3B, 2455 3C, 2381 6A, 2385 6B AND 2401 6D dispatch.

We are basically at the mercy of how the dispatchers set up the TG patches. The scanners that are currently out there can only detect the 1st TG in the patch which is what the scanner ends up displaying and decodes.

Thanks, Phil. It's not too difficult to unlock the three districts and see who's where...

Thanks for that last statement! I wondered why the patched traffic didn't appear on both talkgroups.

6C (2389) is currently patched to 1D (2305) and it's about 9pm Sunday evening.

Ah--I had wondered why it didn't work like a simulcast, with the same traffic heard on both channels/freq's.

They must be having a staff meeting or something currently, 1630hrs on Thursday.

CSP has:

2381 and 2385 both patched to 2401
2389 patched to 2305
2455 patched to 2451

Half the dispatchers needed to cover 7 channels.
