Question Aurora PD changes?

Two real quick things I have noticed this week. They are now dispatching district 3 cars on the District 3 main channel. Normally they are dispatched on District 2. Can anyone confirm this?

Also I have been hearing "Metro" cal signs on the Aurora PD channel. Could it be that Aurora and Denver have combined SWAT? I know they are not the best of friends, but nothing is impossible right?

I have been listening to APD for a while today and all D3 cars are on D2 and being dispatched by D2..

As for the metro units. Its no unusual to hear Denver Metro cars pop up on APD's channels every now and then.

Well I will update my earlier posting as now that I listen tonight they are dispaching D3 cars on D3 dispatch channel.

I have also heard a couple of metro units but they are not numbered like Denver Metro units so I am not sure what they are up too...

Probably as in South Metro Drug Task Force...they usually go with metro call signs citywide

What is the chances of "Metro" units being part of a regional SWAT team? I might be way off. I trust what troop says by all means. There was a call in Douglas county this week that a "regional SWAT team" responded. Could it be a cost saving idea?

I don't think those Metro units are SMDTF Troop Sir. They are answering normal calls for service. There was mention last night olf their own channel.

Dispatch-3 is being used for the busy summer month's. When it slows down,
they will probably stop.

The "Metro" units are temporary officers they are using for the summer.
Scheduled to use them through August. They don't have any special duties, just to help where needed.
