Come on folks this detective game is much more successful if it’s a team effort with ears from all over the state.

I am running scanner recorder and pro96com on my scanners as we speak. If I get any activity on the unidentified talkgroups I will post a file of the recording for help with identification.

That's also listed in the RR Database as well..

The RR datebase is bascially my excel spread sheet.

I had skipped 4007 (MAC-8) for some reason, thanks for the heads up.

I think that's what I'm going to have to do as well. Unfortunately, I only have one Pro-96 so I can't run both right now. Maybe in the spring I can get another scanner and be able to run both. In meantime, I'll try to make a few trips out of the area with the 96 and spend some time monitoring only the unidentified talkgroups. Jim (or anyone else) - is there any way you can post which tower these unknowns were montiored off of? Might help to know where to travel in order to find these groups.

All of these have been logged off of Denver Metro area control channels but understandably that does not mean there in the metro area by any means.

If someone could send me a digital scanner for christmas, I'd be more than happy to try and figure some of them out

The Pro-96 & 2096 are going on-sale again for less that $300.00 you can't beat that.

Golden, Thorodin, and Aurora are wide coverage sites, very active for the metro area. These are the ones that I have had the best luck on.

I listened to 9011 tonight- Weld Co. Fire Opts.

Thanks Luke, I'll try my luck. Best I can tell, my best option will be to use scanrec and lock onto a particular TG and hope for some audio while I'm at work. I could rotate between them in the event that one is not active. Or is there a better way to do this? Bear in mind I only have one 96 at this point so I can only monitor one TG at a time using scanrec.

Bob,

Take an empty bank in your 96, and enter all of the "Unidentified TG's".Run that bank only, and run it in "closed mode"
That way it will hit on only the TG's that you have entered.

I monitor the Grand Mesa (201) site most days, and since the CSP 4A troop has made its move to DTRS, there doesn't seem to be as many out of area TG's affiliated as there used to be when the site was hardly used.

Now Im hearing CSP, DOW and PARKS units daily, with very little else. No unidientified talkgroups at this time.

I assume this is an in-store only deal? Is the Parker RS still shipping for free? And how about that Friends and Family discount? Are Radio Reference friends considered? ;)

That's what I've been doing lately, but I haven't heard anything on that bank. I'll keep trying.

Patience Bob, if it was easy, it wouldn't be fun!

I caught 1218 and 1219 doing radio checks today, so maybe someone will identify themselves soon.
