Starts tomorrow in Durango and they will be racing all week across the state, with over 30 hours of live coverage on NBC.

Please post the frequencies or TG's in use in your area as it passes.

Nice piece (30 minutes or so) on 9NEWS last night including the training that CSP received and how it will be different than last year.

FERN and NLEC will be used by the FFL helicopter that is dedicated to the race.

MAC-20 has been reserved for EMS, in Pitkin County at least.

CSP will be using VHF tac's and simplex DTR channels and at least one or two MAC's still to be determined.

Currently listening to some traffic on MAC 20 and Montrose MAC (8077) Mostly traffic stuff.
Just had some traffic on CSP Ops 2 (2047) about tacks on the road. It sounds like some of the locals may not be as hyped about the race as the Chamber of Commerce is.
All traffic heard in Mesa County via the Mesa Point site.

In addition to scanners, RadioReference feeds, and the news, by far the best online coverage has been this site:

USA Pro Challenge RadioShack Tour Tracker
http://radioshacktourtracker.usaprocyclingchallenge.com

The graphics stay current and on-screen 100% of the time, even when the video signal is lost for brief periods.

When the race video feed begins, you'll have an option to go fullscreen with the live video feed, while still seeing race stats.

Besides the above, I heard Boulder PD "Tac-2" 155.52 being used for in-city coordination and command, as well as CUPD Silver 155.19 being used as general notification to close off intersection access from the campus.

Does anyone know if there's any amateur radio involvement with this event?

Not in the stages that I worked with.

Limited need from a public safety standpoint at least, CSP has a very extensive comms network setup with that team moving each day to the county CP that is hosting the stage that day.

I did hear one race team using 147.15 MHz, they sounded Italian. Their comms set off my scanner's Close Call feature as they went by in Colorado Springs.

Does anyone know if there's any amateur radio involvement with this event?
