Question Boulder Information

I recently moved into the area and actually found the database for Boulder to be a bit outdated. I've browsed the forum quite a bit and held off on posting this until now. I've done a fair share of searching on the forums and have so far come up with:

Boulder PD no longer color coded channels and has a few unknowns:
Blue -> Police-1
Bronze -> Tac-1
Tac-3 -> Tac-2
Violet -> Data

Police-2 exists
Tac-3 exists
Tac-4 exists
151.0775 repeater is unknown

Boulder FD:
Dispatch is called "Fire-1"
158.7525 was said to be disused due to intermod (no longer the case?)
RED-2 was the primary fireground (no longer the case?)

After scanning Boulder for about 1 month now, I have the following listed:

155.6250 - Input for Police-1
155.4375 ("Fireground" in DB) - Repeater input for Dispatch
158.7525 ("Fireground" in DB) - Actively used as a Fireground, possible just called "Fireground"
155.7825 - "Fire-2" repeater operations, unknown input (WQNF794)

Does anyone have personal list of frequencies or that are near the City of Boulder have additional information that they would like to share?

Any input before we work these changes into the database?

Just a minor note that Boulder FD Fire-1 appears to be announcing the call sign WQFW803 (Tac-1 appears to be under the same license).

Boulder County doesn't air their callsign anymore but it's the same callsign for all the channels they dispatch on.

That's odd because I heard a clear line of Morse code and translates to WQFW803 (from the archives). I've heard similar Morse code on Fire-2 a few days ago, but there's no archives for that.

Boulder County doesn't verbalize it like they used to as It's done by Morse code now. Though some dispatchers still say it on the hour, "KJK681".

Chris, I think Spitfire is referring to the City rather than the County.

One thing I've discovered, is that the County repeaters such as Yellow and Red-6 do use Morse code to identify themselves, but it's done without a PL tone. So if you have a PL tone programmed into the radio, you won't hear the Morse code.

I discovered that when I had my really old Realistic Pro-2020 and my BDC996XT tuned to the same channel and Morse code was coming out of the 2020 and the 996XT (which had the PL programmed) was silent. When this first happened, I thought my 996XT was defective!

Interestingly enough, I removed all my tones the other day since there's rarely more than one user on the VHF channels and I noticed the same thing with Fire-1.

The city has applied for and has recently received new licenses for additional frequencies beyond those posted here. So far zero activity on these Fire 2 or Police 2.

Take a look around the (FCC) ULS database there is a number of application and license modifications for the city of Boulder. In a couple of them it appears the emission designator for P25 data and voice are present.
