Default Clear Creek County

I'm hoping someone with better coverage of the area can help me understand the Clear Creek system. I'm hearing SO on 155.025, which is listed as a fire channel. Do they sometimes combine channels at night? Is the rest of the DB correct? Thanks!

Law uses both 155.610 and 155.025.

How do they decidewhen to use which? It sounded like they were using 155.025 as primary and not as a tac channel. Is there a dedicated fire/ambulance channel since SO is using the one listed in the db as and there is no mention of SO using it in the DB.

I hear mostly fire / EMS dispatches on 155.025 and Law enforcement traffic on 155.610 and 155.025. Then each of the fire depts have tac channels as well.

From what you hear, is there a pattern to what SO traffic is on 155.610 on what is on 155.025? I can usually only hear it very scratchy so it's hard to get a feel for what's what.

My only experience is pretty limited (while sitting on the I-70 parking lot) so have not been able to establish a pattern sorry.

Thanks! I'll listen some more. I took out my Pro95 after not using it for a while and I've been listening to UHF/VHF on it and most of that is far away so it comes it pretty weak. I'm surprised how well Gilpin Couny has been coming in, better than I remember, but Clear Creek County is coming in worse so I hear tones and I hear them running license plates but don't catch much else. Interestingly, 155.610 comes in quite a bit better than 155.025 by me.

Jim's description is correct. There may be problems on Squaw from time to time which could cause the SO to switch to .025. Sunday I was in Limon and was hearing 155.61 very well, but close to the foothills, Gilpin does seem to have a stronger signal. Perhaps Gilpin is using some downtilt.
