Beginning tomorrow, Monday, April 8th, the Manitou Springs city fire (currently on TG 4831) and police (currently on TG 4834) dispatch will be dispatched by El Paso County S.O. dispatchers on the EPSO talk groups. They may still retain use of their group of 5 or so talk groups for admin type comms.

Other small police departments in El Paso County that are already dispatched by EPSO are Monument PD (M call signs), Green Mountain Falls Marshals (G), Palmer Lake Marshals (P), Calhan PD (C), and PPCC PD (U call signs).

It should be interesting to hear them try to conform to the call signs that will need to be used on the S.O. talk group and also on the County FD Red talk group.

It looks like MSPD's call signs on the EPSO Sheriff's talk groups will be 5H## ("5 Henry" and then a 2 digit number for the patrol area and unit). Does anyone else on the discussion board monitor El Paso County Sheriff?

MSFD's call signs should be 10XX (the 1000 series) on the EPSO Red fire dispatch talk group (4770). They should be sayng their call signs like, "Ten-10" or "Ten-60" meaning one of their tenders or tankers for example and "Ten-01" for one of their chief/senior leadership types.

Crystal Park VFD (east of Manitou Springs) was also being dispatched on the MSFD talk group but will also now go to EPSO Red tomorrow and use the 9XX call signs. Here is the Crystal Park VFD webpage: Crystal Park Volunteer Fire Department (CPVFD)
