Wondering if any discussion about them and Westy going separate ways?

You should go tonight and ask the Chief what the scoop is. I'm sure he would elaborate, albeit in a politically-correct manner :)

Provide and construct a 100 foot free standing communications tower, move some equipment from existing tower to new tower, mount additional equipment and remove existing tower.

https://www.rockymountainbidsystem....Arvada/P25-Radio-System-Upgrade.asp?tn=118107
SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATIONS:

The City of Arvada currently shares an 800 MHz EDACS radio system with the City of Westminster which is used for mission critical police services communication and also for non-emergency City utilization. Westminster has decided to mapped out and commit to a P25 upgrade migration and Arvada has chosen not to follow the path that they have laid out. Therefore, Arvada is looking at options for migrating its mission critical radio services to a P25 solution within approximately the next 9 months.
