Heard a rumor that the switch to FRCC in weld County is starting today at noon. Can anyone confirm?

EDIT: ScannerSK beat me to it!

The Adams county simulcast site is currently showing two site neighbors:

550 (T0532) CC 772.49375 (showing as failed)
551 (T0533) CC 772.16875 (connected)

Not sure of the physical locations of each site just yet but I believe one of them is the Weld County Simulcast Cluster.

According to the P25 spec that I have, Procom is not exactly correct, the Adjacent status broadcast is currently decoding as A=0, F=0, V=1, which, according to my document means that it is not in failure condition, the adjacent status broadcast is known to be correct, but the site does not have an active network connection with the RFSS controller... Although I dont know how it could be known to be correct if its not talking to the RFSS controller :D Maybe inter-site connectivity is there but not to wherever the controller is?

To keep things simple let's say you have networked P25 system consisting of two sites and a master RFSS controller (each site listing the other as a neighbor):

Both sites connected to controller:
522: Connected (neighbor 550 connected)
550: Connected (neighbor 522 connected)

Site 550 loses connectivity with the controller:
522: Connected (neighbor 550 failed)
550: Site Trunking Mode (neighbor 522 stale/unknown)

Site 550 physically failed (power loss, lightning strike, etc):
522: Connected (neighbor 550 failed)
550: Nothing being broadcast

If the controller fails:
522: Site Trunking Mode (neighbor 550 stale/unknown)
550: Site Trunking Mode (neighbor 522 stale/unknown)

Hopefully this makes sense....

Looks like both sites are now reporting an active connection; still no evidence of a transmitter on the specified frequencies...

772.49375 is the Adams simulcast system just not cut over til they make the change.

772.16875 is at the Hoyt radio site so no surprise no one is hearing it in the metro area.

Weld County simulcast is 800 only.

If they were planning on making the cut over yesterday (2/4) doing so in the middle of a snow event would not have been wise.

Patience guys.

Perhaps this was the switch everyone was thinking of:
Grand opening for 911 emergency center

Nice catch! It appears this is an entirely new dispatch center scheduled to go live February 11th-12th. It will be interesting to see if Weld cuts over to FRCC at the same time the new dispatch center goes live. Notice the quote below.

https://www.co.weld.co.us/assets/1908bcBDa13ca1826Cb7.pdf

The above document mentions, "The 10,316-square-foot facility features state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including Next Generation 9-1-1 capability, WeatherTap HD future weather radar, and the Front Range Communications Consortium (FRCC) Radio System."

LOTS of testing for the past hour or so on North Metro Fire's primary channel. All stations/apparatus are testing with both Broomfield and ADCOM and talking about a DTRS/FRCC patch.

I was writing up a post, but I'll just tag onto this one. At 0200 the cut over to the new system began and Adams County Simulcast went offline a few minutes later. During this time, the control channel 772.74375 for FRCC went out and was then replaced by the old DTRS 772.99375. It's currently showing as System 5AB (WACN BEE00), Zone 5, Site 22. I don't have logging abilities, but it looks like they've transferred Adams Simulcast directly to FRCC. It looks like all the talkgroups for Adams have also been directly transferred with as I have heard Thornton PD/FD, Adams SO, North Metro FD, Commerce City PD, Bennett FD, Federal Heights PD, Northglenn PD, Sable Altura, North Washington and some others. There seems to be some limited issues with units getting lost, but otherwise it appears FRCC is now mostly live and handling normal radio traffic.

Your'e absolutely correct, Pro96Com shows the FRCC system on 772.9375, Site 522, System ID 5AB. Pro96Com shows two neighbor sites: Site 550 on 772.49375, Ch. 01-1678 and Site 551 on 772.16875, Ch. 01-1626. However, I'm not picking up either of these alternative sites and I suspect they may not yet be online. As I recall, during the testing phase the FRCC system showed two adjacent sites but I could never pick them up.

It appears all the Adams County agencies you mentioned are 100% GONE from all DTRS sites, so presumably their radios have a new system key. Although, North Metro Fire Dispatch is still on both systems (is that via ISSI??) It sounds like South Adams Fire got new mobile & portable radios, and they were complaining about coverage issues.

RE: Pro96Com: Because the RR layout for FRCC has no TG's yet, at present there is no way to import TG labels into Pro96Com. It appears that Pro96Com automatically correlates the system ID received by the scanner with the system ID in RR, and there is no way to manually override this. It looks like we need to transfer/copy Adams County, Weld County and Mutual Aid TG's to FRCC ASAP...
