FRCC is definitely phase-2 capable, however Most of the stuff I have seen thus far has been Phase-1. The trick is to look at your channel grant tab.

Phase-2 transmissions will have a "/0" or "/1" after the voice frequency. This is the slot on the frequency (i.e. Phase-2 = space for two conversations on a single frequency).

Also, frequencies can alternate between phase-1 and phase-2 depending on system loads. If a talkgroup is using phase-2 and a phase-1 radio affiliates the group will revert to phase-1 mode.

You could technically see the same frequency listed three times:

853.12500
853.12500/0
853.12500/1

Also, the new Uniden scanners will show something other than "P25", "DAT" or "LNK" when receiving a phase-2 transmission. I can't remember exactly what is shows, but it is something like PS0 or PS1. I am sure you can find out somewhere in the Uniden forum.

I'm not seeing any actual Phase II transmissions as of this morning. The longer they hold off switching to Phase II the better. I really don't want to change scanners again. From what I have read Weld will switch over to Phase II in stages if/when they decide to make the switch.

I never did ascertain whether the PSR-800 is capable of working on Weld's three band frequency system.

772.78125 is currently showing as North Metro Fire Rescue callsign WQTQ632 located in Broomfield. It appears it may be part of Adams County.

Currently, tower 540 is showing as Phase 1 connected to towers 522 (Adams Simulcast), 530 (Weld Simulcast) and 555 (Fort Lupton).

I'm getting 772.78125 from Broomfield, but it seems to be a relatively weak signal. It's possible the site is directionally aimed toward Boulder, or perhaps it's not yet operating at "full power" signal strength for testing purposes. Here is the Pro96Com tower log:

So far I've logged a few voice grants on Weld County Fire Dispatch & Adams SO Dispatch and an affiliation for North Metro Fire Dispatch. Also the site is broadcasting CWID "data grants" of "WQTQ632".

I would be very curious to know why, and for what purposes/agency uses, this site was constructed...

Yes, it was fairly decent in signal strength this morning in Gilcrest however is very weak now that it is noon.

I would be very curious to know why, and for what purposes/agency uses, this site was constructed...

A thread from May touched on this topic and that this tower may be used to cover parts of Adams County:
