Jeffco Incident

Jeffco is at a home on Mariposa, that's off Hwy 285 between Tiny Town and Conifer. A victim escaped the residence when the other party fell asleep. Victim went to the hospital in an ambulance. Deputies have surrounded the house, party inside did not answer calls to the residence, or knocks at the door. At this time (6AM), they are discussing bringing in SWAT. They did just notice movements inside the house.

6:15. Male in custody at residence. He came out the back door, and became aware of police presence when they started using a bull horn. When he was observed looking out the garage window, officers were advised to put down spikes in drive in case he tried to leave in a vehicle. He had taken a weapon away from the female earlier, she was apparently attempting to defend herself, and he had disconnected the phone lines. Charges against him will include 2nd and 3rd degree assault and false imprisonment. They are interviewing the female now to determine other charges. Incident over, lasted about two hours. Jeffco used North Mtn Dispatch for communications.
