Fire burning on Crystal Mountain in the Rist Canyon area.

Resources either on scene or en route are Rist Canyon FPD, Loveland, Livermore and Larimer Emergency Services. Oh, and Tanker 184 out of JeffCo is coming back for a second round.

Sounds pretty small right now, however they are not taking any chances....

Active freqs: 156.240 Rist Tac-1, 156.000 Rist Tac-2, 154.385 LCSD Firenet, 158.835 LCSD Tac-1 and 172.325 USFS Air/Ground

edit: This fire is now being called the Fish Creek Fire

And was a controlled burn to begin with that got a little out of control.

I had heard that Jim and thought that it was from another fire. Thanks for the info. I think that right now is a bad time to be doing controlled burns, it is way too dry out there...

USFS has four engines and a couple tankers enroute as well

Someone should call and correct 9News, they are saying this is near Storm Mountain. It is nowhere near Storm Mountain.

Sounds like 100% containment is near

This was the afternoon update:

Subject: Update on Fish Creek Fire

The Fish Creek Fire has covered four acres half National Forest and half
private. Two loads from SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker) were used. U.S.
Forest Service, Larimer County Emergency Services and Rist Canyon Fire
have cleared for the night, but will return tomorrow to check for hot
spots and mop up.
