O come on you guys are sleeping, no one else monitored the Denver bus accident this afternoon.

Initial reports of 28 students and 1 adult on-board then triage officer said 14 have complaints then he updated that to 18 will need transport on LBB.

SAC, Univ, DG, TCH and Rose all to take 3 patients.

Most of the traffic was on MCI Ops.

I just heard Denver Sheriff is asking for more people down at DG to keep the media back.

Several Kids Hurt After School Bus Crashes Into Home

DENVER -- A school bus loaded with 28 kids from Hill Middle School crashed into a house near 5th Avenue and Albion Street Wednesday afternoon, sending about 15 kids to local hospitals, most with minor injuries.

An adult, believed to be the bus driver, and a student were loaded into an ambulance and transported to University Hospital. Two others went to Rose Medical Center and six others went to Denver Health. Denver firefighters said 15 kids and three adults were transported to various hospitals, including Children's Hospital and St. Anthony Medical Center.
No one was seriously injured and most of the kids were complaining of neck and back pain, firefighters said. About a dozen students were treated at the scene in a triage area.
The crash occurred at about 2:45 p.m., a few minutes after the students were picked up from school.
A witness told 7NEWS that she saw the Denver School District bus come around corner, skim several cars, hit at least one parked car and then accelerate and smash into a dining room. The witness said that it looked like something was wrong with the bus driver.
Fortunately, no one was at the home at the time of the crash. The woman who lives in the home said she received a call at work.
"They called me and they said, 'A bus has hit your house,' and I went, 'You mean like the house or just the lawn?' And they said, 'No, it went in the window and hit the house.' I was just more concerned whether or not somebody was hurt," said Tracey Lepine, the owner of the home.
Lepine said when she drove home and saw the scene -- dozens of kids on the lawn and dozens of firefighters helping out -- she was stunned. She said her house looked like there had been an explosion, with glass and bricks everywhere.
She was thankful that no one was in the house and that most of the kids were OK. Crews built a frame around the dining room for fear of collapse.
A witness said he saw the bus lose control and had to swerve to miss the bus. Another driver told 7NEWS that when she saw the bus jump the curb and crash into the house, she got out of the car and started to help unload the kids from the emergency door in the back of the bus.
Several students said that it fled like the bus flew through the air for a brief period, just before the crash.
Several roads in the area are closed as part of the investigation. The crash scene is in the Hilltop neighborhood, near 6th Avenue, just east of Colorado Boulevard and across from Steck Elementary School.
The parents of all the children on board the bus have been notified of the accident.
DPS has set up a hotline for parents to call for more information. That number is (303) 825-2611.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

All of that just to reach for a sweater - good grief !!

That's only one of many theories Bill, nothing has been confirmed yet it almost sounds like the driver might have had a brief syncopal episode like hypoglycemia related just prior to the accident.

It's amazing to me how much the media will dig up OLD dirt on anybody; like a ticket from 1981 and a shoplifting charge at least 10 years old--They must expect a national security clearance for a lousy $12.00 an hour job
