I hadn't listened to Montrose PD dispatch (TG8073) for a couple months, and today found that it is now 100% encrypted.

This includes Olathe PD which is also dispatched on that TG.

And the hits just keep coming.

I've noticed that too. Montrose SO is almost completely CAD now, very little dispatch traffic.

I've also read on a local message board folks are pretty upset about this. So I guess since they're encrypted the news media and surrounding agencies can't hear them. I can see encrypting tactical channels but not the main dispatch.
