What is the NLEEC Chanel used for? I know what CLEER is used for, when I was an explorer it was fun to listen to it when I helped out in Dispatch. I've never hear of the NLEEC though.

Did anyone eles catch that foot chase in Aurora? The bald guy with the gun?

NLEC is the VHF equivalent of CLEER. We never had it at Adcom because we were UHF before the DTRS, but my SAR organization had access to contact State.

The SAR team I am on uses it to talk to others on VHF who do not have access to some of our channels, I have only heard it used a few times for law agencies mainly because they are all on DTRS now or use CLEER.
