Just turned the scanner on. About a 20 acre fire in the old Hi-Meadow fire area. Residents evacuating around Cochise Trail, that's off Highway 126 from Pine Junction to the old town of Pine. 3 structures threatened. Thanks for the quick post Jeffrey, and frequencies.

They are requesting Initial Attack Aircraft Comm frequencies. My records show Zone 6, Air to Ground Primary, 172.375, Secondary 173.1, and Air to Air 126.025. Smoke visible also at the end of Wandrest Drive. which leads parallel to Hwy 126 for about 3 miles.

Air attack estimates about 8 acres.

A reverse 911 call for evacuation has been sent for a two mile radius of 34000 block of Crystal Lake Rd.

If it is zone 6, I show the frequencies being (as of 2005) Air2Ground Primary 172.475, Air2Ground Secondary 172.225 and the same Air2Air as mentioned 126.025.

Update to command as of 4PM: Fire has slowed, is smoldering and creeping along the ground. 8 to 10 acres. Air-Ops suspended to to wind. Progressive hose lays on the flanks of the fire to where retardent had already been dropped.

Have to go due to other time commitments. Hope someone can pick up on the updates. Network channels are reporting incident. A lot of folks working this thing. This is a second round for these residents. Imagine the emotions..Dave.
