I heard some guard humvees on EOC 1 last night, for what it's worth.

They are probably on the Colorado Statewide 800 MHz TRS, or they still might be operating on VHF-Low band. I would search the 34-35, 38-39, and 40-42 MHz areas. You might find them in that area.

Sounds like they are using TG 2395.

The Blakhawks are up on 230.800 to talk back to the ops desk at Buckley, but I don't know any other freqs for them.

That list is a little outdated.... The ANG only used the FM freqs when they flew the A-7D from 1977-1994. And the Army now has a HUGE hanger to store all the birds....

EOC = Emergency Operations Center. In this case, EOC 1 is a talkgroup used by the aforementioned center, probably on a statewide basis. Many states follow this or very similar protocols for emergency/disaster communications.

Plus you're probably unlikely to find any F-16C support of snow removal. It would be pretty noisy.

Yeah but, you've got to admit that it would be kinda neat having them make `strafing runs' up and down some of the roads. {VBW GRIN!} It'd be a whole new definition of "Thunder Snowstorms". {SNICKER!}

Just an `Olde Fart's' 2¢ worth. {CHORTLE!}

Speaking of Colorado Nat'l Guard, has anyone actually seen their SINCGARS radios in their humvees? During my trips to one of the units I got the priviledge of seeing those babies turned on and operating (but they never said anything classified)!

Lightbulb Guard

During the Blizzard in Baca and Prowers County they National Guard were using DTR radios from a Cache from the Denver Metro Area. They utilized the MAC channels such as Mac 9, Mac 10, Mac 11 and Mac 13 were all used in Baca County during the Storms. They didnt have radios in most of their vehicles, snow cats, humvees, and 8 X 8 Trucks. They used handhelds.
