Help with LTR system
Looking for some advise on a LTR system. From what I can tell the info is not listed anywhere. I have identified the following frequencies thus far:
454.4000
454.4500
454.4750
454.5000
454.5250
454.5500
454.5750
454.6000
In an LTR system do all the frequencies need to be programmed in or are there certain CC's? I know they do have to be associated properly to the LCN but is that for all of them? Also does anyone know of a current local LTR system in the RR database I could program in just to see how it works? I'll keep working on it and referencing to WIKI files too.
Thanks for any additional help!

Ltr
The RR Wiki has good info about LTR systems.
The RR info on your particular radio also will tell you whether your radio can do LTR or not.
For instance, Pro-97 will do LTR but channels need to be treated in order like EDACS.
Pro-96 will not do LTR.
Lots of good info already in the various databases.

It's callcomm's Critchell UHF system.
454.0750 LCN 1
454.2250 LCN 3
454.1250 LCN 7
454.4000 LCN 9
454.4250 LCN 10
454.4500 LCN 11
454.4750 LCN 12
454.3250 LCN 13
454.5000 LCN 14
454.5250 LCN 15
454.5500 LCN 16
454.5750 LCN 17
454.6000 LCN 18
Unidentified
454.0250
454.1750
454.2500
MNN radio is on this system.
All LTR capable scanners, with the exception of the PRO-92/PRO-2067, need to be programmed in LCN order.
No CC's for LTR standard systems.
Phil.

I am having no luck at all tracking this with a PRO528. Got it programmed in as an LTR system, and I think I have it all programmed right (LCN1 in channel 1, LCN3 in channel 3, etc) and all it'll do in trunk mode is sit and happily scan through the frequencies. If I turn the trunk mode off and scan it as a conventional system I hear the audio fine. Anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Try these and see. There are quite a few other people using this system, you should hear some traffic

Channels to the callcomm system were added/changed in the last year. I receive no interval signal or activity on 461.050 or 452.750.
Lots of business users on this system so I seriously doubt your gonna get a lot of TG info.
Phil.
Reason for edit: to clarify who's system.

I'll work the MNN IDs in. It looks like LCN 01, 07, and 13 jive with what's in already, but 05 is not in the database and 12 has a different frequency in the database (452.125 vs. 454.125).
I'll go ahead and work in LCN 05 as you show it (461.05) but what are people seeing with LCN 12?

For any scannists expecting gripping non-stop action MNN talk groups are pretty quiet.
As mentioned before both 461.050 and 452.750 freqs have no activity on them.
454.325 LCN-13 is also used by a paging company so interference does occur on that frequency depending on your location.
Don't be surprised to hear four letter verbs from some of the tow companies using this system.

OK, *that* explains *some* of the pager like `honks & buzzes'. Given what my antenna has suffered through over a month now I wouldn't be surprised if I'm having spurious signal and "image" problems on top of that bit of `man made' interference.
As for 461.050 & 452.750... I'd always wondered the `why' and `wherefore' of those two. Not only did they not seem to `fit' but I really never heard anything on them except when I first tried listening to that LTR system. Thanks!

That's *not* all you'll hear! {WAN GRIN!} Some of the descriptions of calls, and `customers', have been fairly `colorfull' to say the least. Another thing one will find are auto junkyards. For the most part those are just calls for various parts but, very, occasionally things get `strange?' / `crazy?' and one wonders if they actually said what they said and did I hear that right. (Like the difference between, and reason for, left-handed threaded nuts and bolts. [I won't go into the whole discussion as it was actually quite long. But, the `kicker', for me at least, was they were there to `bedevil' Auto Wrecker Yard workers and make life harder for them. {CHORTLE!}]) And all was heard over just a few hours of off and on TGID `searching' over the weekend and a couple hours this, Monday, morning. I expect that *I* will keep pretty much everything except the MNN TGs locked out and will not use one of my `newer' scanners for monitoring. (Most likely this system will share the same 2067 that has the United Power LTR system and the FRS `channel' and PL we use around here as an intercom.)
Just an `Olde Fart's' 2˘ worth. {WAN GRIN!}

I think it's really nice of the tow company's on the system to clear customer credit cards over the radio. They give out everything! Customer name, CC number, Exp date. Might make you think twice upon giving that tow driver your CC next time you need one.
