Hi, Shawn. I see that you're new.

If you haven't used a web forum before, it can be a little confusing the first time. This web site is broken down in to sections based on the type of hardware you're using (Such as your Uniden 396) and by location (Philadelphia.) On this part of the forum, we're talking about using the forums and the web site with mobile phones and PDA's, but if you go to the sections where people are talking about your area or your hardware, I'll bet there are folks who can help you. Here are links to the appropriate forum topics:
Uniden Scanners - The RadioReference.com Forums
Pennsylvania Radio Discussion Forum - The RadioReference.com Forums

You can also check out the database for your area at:
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?mid=37
and the wiki article for your radio
http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/BCD396XT
you might want to scroll down and look at the software programs that can help you program your radio (assuming you have a computer interface cable.)

When you press "Post Reply" at the bottom of the screen, you're posting in this conversation. When you click "Start New Topic" (which is only visible when you're looking at one of the forum topic areas), you will be able to start a new conversation.

Thanks, and have fun with your new scanner!
-Tom

It looks great on the iPhone, too. I do have a feature request, though: is it possible to get the email notification to give links to both the regular and mobile version of a thread? That would make it easier to reply to time sensitive messages when on the road.

Thanks, and great job!!
It's not yet - but it is something I'm looking at in the email templates for the forums.

However, as you can imagine, priorities have shifted now to the ScanAmerica acquisition. We'll be very busy over the next 2 weeks or so getting this done. Be patient with us

Hmm. My 8925 doesn't show allow me to post, reply, anything. I can see threads, and browse through pages, but not post. And I'm logged in. I'll keep playing with it and see if I can get it to work. Looks great otherwise. Thanks guys.

I'm sorry, Lindsay, but that's not acceptable. As a paying customer, I think you should meet my arbitrary demands before you worry about your own business. I demand that you take care of me FIRST!

Ok, seriously: you guys are doing a bang-up job here. Keep up the awesome work.
