"The county will be required by the federal government to upgrade its radio frequency from 800 MHz..."

Say what? Another misstatement from an "official" source. I'm not sure whether EmpireStateNews.net were paraphrasing the politician or throwing in their own commentary. Either way, the quoted comment is misleading and, unless there is a new issue with coordinating with Canada, just plain wrong.

Has Oswego County decided not to join the regional CNY P25 system that is being planned?

Oswego should still be on board with the UHF P25 system Onondaga is hosting. Madison is going to be using Onondaga's system as well. Got a meeting on 1 Dec 09 so I'll know more for sure then.
