Waukesha, WI - The radios used by emergency personnel will be upgraded from analog to digital as part of a Waukesha County Communications initiative, providing clearer and more seamless communication between municipalities.

It appears they are already on an analog 800mhz TRS. I assume they are just going to be switching to digital mode?

Looks like a P25 digital trunking system to me. Almost unlimited channels? Now pull the other one.

The new system is currently slated to be a P25 Phase I system with around the same number of channels as is currently in the analog system. It is expected that ISSI interfaces will be used to interface with other systems in the area, with some dedicated interoperability functionality with Milwaukee County...
