Default Grant County PUD (WA) selects Tait DMR

The new TaitNet 8-site, 800MHz, Tier 3 DMR network will replace and consolidate the two existing end-of-life analog networks Grant PUD currently uses for voice communications between its staff. The solution will also provide workers with enhanced digital voice communications.

Default TAIT Trunking

Pay attention to the last line in that article. It says the TAIT trunking is MPT 1327. Don't think my scanner does that one.

This system will be DMR digital not MPT1327 and is the same standard as MotoTRBO and Hytera. Your scanner won't do that either.

The difference here is that this is one of the first DMR Tier III multi-site trunked systems to be implemented.

Actually, it doesn't.

It says TAIT DMR is built on proven MPT1327 technology.

Basically, DMR was developed as a digital upgrade path for MPT1327.

The TAIT product range covers MPT1327, DMR, and APCO P25, at least.
