So they still use analog UHF just with the Raytheon JPS system? Also lOse not lOOse..........sorry bothers me.

What happens when and if it rains and the smart phone gets wet, my touch screen usually locks up and stops working or does random things.

Smartphones are in no way public safety quality.

Well, the department leaders at least had the foresight to not be taken in by the smooth-talkers from
Moto-crap-orola.

We have one of our EMS crews that when they leave the state (Georgia), they can not use the SouthernLinc (Like NexTel but belongs to Georgia Power), so they have an Android phone that will connect to it and they can talk to us via that anywhere in the nation.
