Cute story, but false.

Did anyone else notice that it calls the Sidewinder missle an air to ground missle??

Sidewinders are heat seeking weapons, not anti-radar. Also, they are air to air missles.... not air to ground.

Lots of other improbabilities in that story also.

Investigating a little further out of curiosity, I found what I expected:

snopes.com: Police Radar Prompts Missile

I agree. It's true because I prefer it to be true.

Don't confuse me with facts!

Heh, you need to grow a sense of humor.

Now if any of you are rail fans or just curious about Tornado or how I came up with such an oddball response take a look here:

This is mine. (Chome with black theme.) Got tabs for my quick pages, as well as a tab for local box cards, and the Milwaukee Fire Dept Cad.

Now that I've finally figured out how the "attachment" thing works, I can post the screencaptures directly on here instead of linking them (and can delete them from my site and expire my two previous posts in this thread.)

So here's what I see nearly every day. A utilitarian, no-frills (and for the gods' sakes, no tabs) layout in a no-frills KDE 3 desktop, almost completely devoid of extraneous graphics (e.g. toolbar icons). It's meant for increased functionality, not increased beauty. Eye candy should not be at the forefront of a GUI; a reality that's frighteningly all too often ignored these days. A GUI is supposed to be a user front-end for the OS kernel, not a work of art. If you want to see a masterpiece, go to a museum or a gallery, not your desktop. </tirade>
