The system was switch 6/25/09 to the new channels: 853.8125 MHz, 853.2875 MHz, 852.5500 MHz, 851.8000 MHz, and 851.3250 MHz. The system will remain analog.

Yup. Around 23:00 yesterday (6/25) they did a role call on fireground 4 and stated that they'd be using that channel as dispatch, ground, etc until further notice while they brought the rebanded channels fully online.

Default West Hartford Rebanding

Yes, I noticed 853.2875 was the control channel this morning and that it was very strong (not the typical fluctuating signal) from where I work in Bloomfield. I know the signal hasn't changed, so I can only assume it's due to cellular interference that no longer exists?? I need to monitor the system a bit more on the way home from work, etc. I wish the CSP would reband already for this reason !!!

Funny on the 396T I put in two separate systems one with old way and one with Rebanding.. I put all freq in not control channel only. And it works both ways. Very Strange.

I went out for lunch around 1:00 and found only the newly rebanded frequencies active, no control channel on the old. The control channel for this system changes daily, I think at midnight, therefore you wouldn't want to set it to control channel only.

What Scanner?? Latest Firmware? Can it handle Rebanding?

Did you select the NEW Band Plan or Custom ? If not you need to do that, as with Rebanding Not only did the Frequencies change, but the behind the scenes Motorola Channel #'s also changed.

If u use Arc Butel software it does it automatically...couldnt tell u manually.. just d/l software u get a trial period. it will d/l all the frequencies in radio reference and put the custom plan in the system. works fine. program did it all for me. Make sure u have the latest firmware the last one dealt with rebanding.
