I found a couple of frequencies that are licensed to the Wilton Fire Department and was curious if they are used as firegrounds. I know that the primary frequency is 460.2625 which is P25 Digital. Does Wilton use a P25 Digital fireground channel or is that kept analog?
I am in that area (Wilton, Ridgefield, Redding, New Canaan) every Tuesday and have not heard anything on those channels. However, I haven't had the chance to monitor a major incident in Wilton yet, either. Keep our fingers crossed.
Hey thanks for the response. I appreciate it. I also haven't heard anything on those channels either. I have a feeling that the 458.9125 is the fireground and the 154.070 MHz and 154.1525 could possibly be used by the fire police.
154.0700 MHz licensed as MO and MO3 at 2 watts.
154.1525 MHz licensed as FB and FBS and MO at 25 watts. Is located at three tower and mobile. Could be a backup channel along with the 33.50 that they simulcast on?
458.9125 MHz licensed as a MO at 2 watts. Most likely fireground channel.
154.070 was the old Pac repeater ch. Not used anymore. 154.1525 was going to be a fd repeater before they went to UHF...Im thinking another town will snatch them up in the future

Thanks for the response. That was my second guess that the 154.1525 was probably going to be a primary dispatch channel. I'm surprised that they don't use the 154.1525 as a backup channel or a auxiliary channel say for the Fire Police. Seems like kind of a waste to not being using those 2 channels. So it is possible that when the license runs out in a couple years that they may not renew the 154.1525 and the 154.070. With 154.070 being the old Pac repeater channel, what does Pac stand for?
