Lightbulb State Police "Private Calls"?

Has anyone heard any Private calls on the CSP system lately? I'm normally monitoring the Troop C/K zone (868.9125 CC) and haven't heard any, I have the 700000 wildcard programmed in, and haven't heard anything at all, So when I actually heard a troop request a private call, I stopped on the private call channel, And didn't hear a peep. Never had this problem a few years back when I was running my old Uniden 250D, Although, When I got the 396 that I'm running now, I noticed that I usually get the "motorboat" noise, So I locked private call out for a while, When I unlocked them, I never heard a thing again, So I'm wondering if they've made some sort of change as to how the private call operates...

Any insight into this issue is greatly appreciated.

Wink

They usually only use them when cell phones dont work in the area. Troop L and B use them alot. Each person on Private call has a 7xxxx number. So if you only have one 7xxxx on top you only have 1/2 of the conversation. if you have 7xxxx and 7xxxx you get both sides. But when they unkey the mic and it scans it changes so it doesnt lock in the same place You are correct only that one. If you like Private Call just put on the City of Hartford for 1/2 a day. They will drive you so batty you wont ever want to listen to private call again LOL.
