Best way just put every frequency in there for Tolland County...Most will be fire...and listen. each town is numbered and is pretty orderly. I just listened at the beginning many years ago and caught on before these references even started. depending on where u are . there are several cross band repeaters etc...

Most Fire / EMS dispatches are handled by Station TN (the link awasser1 provided). They also dispatch for a few eastern Hartford County towns as well as East Windsor's two fire districts. Some departments like UCONN have there own dispatch centers and follow the same unit numbering system (which is common for 75% of eastern CT. The exceptions being New London and Middlesex counties)

When you hear them on the radio the units follow this patern: Unit Type - Unit Number - Department Number. For example Tolland Fire Department's Engine Tanker 1 is ET (or Engine Tank) 140, ect. Like everyone said, it takes a little time to get used to listening to them but you will be able to figure out who is going where.

Some frequencies used to listen up there:

33.80 (Dispatch only),
33.74
33.44
33.88
33.68 - UCONN Fire "22"

Default CT department numbers

If it helps, attached is a list for Eastern CT fire departments and numbers they use.
Also try these additional frequencies:
155.820 and 452.225 both repeat 33.86..
154.740 and 460.025 repeat 33.44
153.125 is used for tones (simulcast of 33.80)

In the pdf file there are a few things that are wrong. The majority of them are the southern New London County area departments. They use a "bingo code system" where you have a letter and then a number. Example would be for Mahsantucket's (Foxwoods) are F-11, F-12, ect.

As for the rest of the Tolland, Windham, upper New London county areas wh are dispatched by TN, WW, QV and KX, the list is right on the money.
